  • Mild detergent and water
  • Clean cloth or rag

PROCEDURES:

  • Turn Off the Car:
    • Ensure the car is turned off and the keys are removed from the ignition to prevent any electrical hazards.
  • Access the Blower Motor:
    • Typically, the blower motor is located behind the glove compartment or under the dashboard on the passenger side. You may need to remove the glove box or a panel to access it.
  • Remove the Blower Motor:
    • Carefully disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
    • Use a screwdriver to remove the screws or bolts holding the blower motor in place.
    • Gently take out the blower motor from its housing.
  • Clean the Blower Wheel:
    • Use a mild detergent mixed with water. Dip a cloth or sponge in the solution and carefully wipe the blades clean.
  • Reinstall the Blower Motor:
    • Once cleaned, carefully place the blower motor back into its housing.
    • Reattach the screws or bolts to secure the blower motor.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector.
  • Reassemble the Glove Box or Panel:
    • Put the glove box or panel back in place.
  • Test the AC System:
    • Turn on the car and run the AC to ensure the blower motor operates smoothly and there are no unusual noises.
